Is there a way to turn on the tension when you are in position to do a squat or bench press?

You start with the resistance dials on 1 and pull the cables out to a comfortable length.  You can either lock out the cables temporarily with the MAXPRO cord locks, until you get in position, then adjust the resistance dials to the heavy setting, then start working out (length of the available cord can be adjusted during the exercise).. another way, is to simply pull out the bar at no resistance... hold it with one arm outward to stretch the available cord, adjust the resistance dials, then position the body for the exercise, all while keeping the arm outstretched and keeping the bar/cables extended
